Abstract: There were many researchs and applications for sea dike overtopping in the world. In Vietnam, there are also several local sea dikes, which are sea dikes overtopping. These dikes had type of protection by concrete cover or clay cover with sand core. In order to further research on protections for sea dike overtopping. This paper summarises protections of sea dike, which were applied or it is doing, and analyses of its applicated conditions for sea dike overtopping such as protection by geotubes, geotextiles, additive consolite, geomat and grass, hydraulic structures… These can be applied for sea dike overtopping of construction and further researchs in Vietnam.
